Browser script execution via unescaped BPI info URL
Published Oct 30, 2025 · Updated Oct 30, 2025
Stored XSS in the BPI component of Nagios XI before 5.8.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim's browser. The BPI listing and detail renderers insert the user-controlled info URL without output escaping, causing stored markup to execute when displayed. A low-privileged account can store the payload, but a victim must view the affected BPI content; the script can read or alter data available to that browser session.
