Kernel memory corruption via unchecked JFS metadata

Memory corruption in the Linux kernel JFS allocator allows local users to compromise the kernel via a crafted filesystem image. dbMount copies the on-disk dn_agl2size value into bmp->db_agl2size without enforcing its upper bound, so dbAllocAG performs an oversized shift and computes attacker-controlled block locations. Exploitation requires mounting the crafted JFS image and invoking allocation operations; resulting invalid reads and writes can disclose kernel data, corrupt memory, crash the kernel, or shut down the filesystem.
