Local service interruption via stale aggregate device
Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
Use-after-free in the Linux kernel Meson DRM driver allows local users to interrupt service by unloading and reloading its modules. meson_drv_unbind releases device-managed memory without removing the aggregate device, leaving global aggregate_devices entries that find_components later dereferences. The trigger requires module-management privileges and a system using the Meson DRM and HDMI drivers; the demonstrated result is an invalid kernel-memory read.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
