Local system crash via null nodelist release
Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 1, 2025
NULL pointer dereference in the Linux kernel 5.14 through 5.19.16 and 6.0 through 6.0.2 allows local users to crash the system. In drivers/scsi/lpfc/lpfc_ct.c, lpfc_cmpl_ct_cmd_gft_id() leaves its nodelist pointer null on an error exit and passes it to lpfc_nlp_put(). Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a system using the lpfc driver; no data disclosure or modification is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
