CVE-2022-50455

Rejected because alleged flaw never entered mainline

Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 1, 2025

The Linux Kernel was alleged to contain an NFS parameter-parsing null dereference that caused a system crash on an empty value. The report claimed nfs_fs_context_parse_param() dereferenced param->string after vfs_parse_fs_string() set it to NULL for a zero-length string. The CNA rejected the record after determining that the prerequisite VFS patch never entered mainline, so no released kernel contained this path.
