Kernel panic via unguarded DisplayPort double disable

Denial of service in the Linux kernel 5.17 through 6.0.6 allows local users to trigger a kernel panic through the MSM DisplayPort driver. The bridge lacks an atomic_check guard, so an extra frame sets crtc->active after the display pipeline is down and dp_bridge_disable accesses main-link registers with clocks disabled. A local user-mode display manager must issue the update and close the DRM device in the narrow disabled-interface window, producing a host-wide crash.
