The now-rejected CVE record described a Linux kernel NFSD buffer overflow reachable by remote attackers through oversized TCP RPC records. svc_process() shrinks rq_res after a large call record, but the NFSv3 READ reply path retains a maximum payload calculation sized for the original shared page array. The CNA withdrew the identifier and its affected-version references, leaving current applicability and any resulting operational consequence unconfirmed.
