Local kernel compromise via freed buffer dereference

Use-after-free in Linux kernel jbd2 allows local users to crash the system or corrupt kernel memory through ext4 fast commits. The jbd2_fc_wait_bufs function calls put_bh before testing buffer_uptodate, dereferencing a buffer head after dropping its reference. An unprivileged local user needs write access to a file on a fast-commit-enabled ext4 mount; exploitation can panic the kernel or compromise kernel memory.
