Kernel memory access via stale DRM bridge entries
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Use-after-free in Linux 4.10 through 5.19.16 and 6.0 through 6.0.2 allows local users to trigger an invalid read during Meson DRM reload. The HDMI and CVBS initialization paths add bridges to global bridge_list, but aggregate-driver unbind fails to remove them before their memory is freed. Reaching the fault requires unloading and reloading the affected DRM modules on Amlogic Meson hardware; KASAN confirmed an eight-byte freed-memory read.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
