Local service interruption via OCMEM reference leak
Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Resource exhaustion in the Qualcomm OCMEM driver in affected Linux 5.5 through 5.19.1 allows local users to interrupt service. The of_get_ocmem function retains the reference added by of_parse_phandle because it omits of_node_put after using the device-tree node. Reachability requires a low-privileged local context and an affected Qualcomm configuration; repeated reachable calls can exhaust kernel memory.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
