Kernel panic via premature endpoint pointer conversion
Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in the CDNS3 USB gadget driver in the Linux kernel allows local users to cause a kernel panic. The dequeue and enable functions convert ep before checking it for NULL, producing an invalid priv_ep pointer that is dereferenced for cdns3_dev. Low-privileged local access is required, and the bounded consequence is availability loss through a host crash.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
