Kernel crash via oversized framebuffer clearing

Out-of-bounds write in the Linux arkfb framebuffer driver allows local users to crash the kernel through a crafted display-mode ioctl. arkfb_set_par calculates screen_size from user-controlled virtual dimensions and passes an oversized length to memset_io without comparing it with info->screen_size. Access to an arkfb framebuffer device is required; on Ubuntu, membership in the non-default video group gates /dev/fb* access.
