Local kernel crash via stale iavf resources

Denial of service in the iavf driver in Linux 5.17 through 5.19.3 allows local users to crash the kernel through an ethtool ioctl. After iavf_get_vf_config returns IAVF_ERR_ADMIN_QUEUE_NO_WORK, iavf_init_get_resources frees adapter->vf_res but leaves netdev registered; iavf_get_link_ksettings then dereferences the NULL resource. A local low-privilege ioctl through ethtool reaches the stale interface state and produces a kernel oops or panic, interrupting the host.
