Invalid kernel-memory read via freed request unlink
Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated Aug 15, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux kernel allows attackers to trigger an invalid memory read in the cdns3 USB gadget driver. In cdns3_wa2_remove_old_request(), cdns3_gadget_ep_free_request() releases priv_req before list_del_init() unlinks priv_req->list. The public record does not identify an attacker-controlled trigger or claim data exposure; observed behavior is a KFENCE-detected read after free.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
