Service interruption via unreleased GPU metrics allocation
Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Memory leak in Linux kernel 5.19 through 5.19.6 allows local users to exhaust memory through AMD GPU power-management teardown. smu_v13_0_4_init_smc_tables() allocates gpu_metrics_table, but smu_v13_0_4_fini_smc_tables() omits the corresponding free. The flaw requires local low-privileged access and an affected AMD GPU path; its documented consequence is unreleased memory that can interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
