Local denial of service via probe resource leak
Published Jun 18, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Resource leak in Linux 5.16 through 5.19.7 and 6.0-rc1 through 6.0-rc3 allows local users to exhaust resources during CM3605 probing. The cm3605_probe() IRQ-error branch returns directly after a failed IRQ lookup instead of jumping to out_disable_aset, leaving the ASET GPIO asserted and the VDD regulator enabled. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and a CM3605 device whose probe reaches the missing-IRQ path; repeated failures can interrupt system availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
