Local denial of service via invalid USB direction

Improper USB control handling in the Linux kernel mceusb driver allows local users to interrupt service when a first-generation MCE USB device is probed. The mceusb_gen1_init path submits a device read through usb_control_msg without setting USB_DIR_IN in bRequestType, causing usb_submit_urb to reject the pipe-direction mismatch and emit a kernel warning. Reachability requires local access to attach or emulate the affected USB device; the documented consequence is loss of availability, not disclosure or modification of data.
