CVE-2022-4992Network attack vector

Alarm tampering and reboot via unverified network messages

Published Jun 2, 2026 · Updated Jun 2, 2026

Network message spoofing in Dräger Infinity M540 and Acute Care System through VG4.1.1 allows remote attackers to alter alarm settings. The devices accept spoofed or tampered Infinity Network messages without adequately verifying data authenticity, while excessive traffic overwhelms message handling. Network reachability is required; VG4.2 remains partially affected, and packet storms reboot the Cockpit or M540 and remove network functionality.
