CVE-2022-4990

Local privilege escalation via malformed IOCTL quantities

Published Jul 3, 2026 · Updated Jul 3, 2026

Improper quantity validation in the AI Suite 3 driver before 3.03.00 allows local users to gain elevated privileges through crafted IOCTL requests. The driver accepts attacker-controlled quantities without enforcing security checks that restrict access to protected memory blocks. A low-privileged Windows account and local driver access are required, after which restricted memory access enables privilege escalation.
