Local service interruption via ACPI source-count overflow

Integer overflow in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to cause a vmalloc failure during ACPI initialization. The ghes_estatus_pool_init() function multiplies the signed num_ghes count by GHES_ESOURCE_PREALLOC_MAX_SIZE, so the length calculation wraps before vmalloc() receives it. Triggering the failure requires local access and an ACPI HEST configuration with enough GHES error sources; the observed consequence is a boot-time allocation failure and service interruption.
