Kernel warning via signed capability-mask shift

Undefined behavior in Linux 2.6.25 through 6.1-rc4 allows local users to trigger a UBSAN kernel warning through a prctl capability query. The CAP_TO_MASK macro forms bit 31 by left-shifting signed integer 1, which is not representable as an int and reaches security/commoncap.c through cap_task_prctl(). Local low-privileged access is required; observable impact is the warning, while service interruption depends on warning-panic configuration.
