CVE-2022-4983Network attack vector

Remote file creation via licensing path control

Published Nov 12, 2025 · Updated Nov 12, 2025

External file-path control in TEC-IT TBarCode 11.15 allows remote attackers to create files through the TBarCode11.ocx control. Its INI-based licensing handler accepts attacker-controlled file names or paths and creates the referenced file on the Windows host without adequately constraining the destination. Exploitation requires active user interaction and a writable security-sensitive destination; a successful write enables code execution or persistence in the hosting process's context.
