Kernel crash via unchecked device-registration failure

NULL pointer dereference in the Linux ATA transport layer allows local users to crash the kernel during ATA module removal. The ata_tport_add() function ignores a failed transport_add_device() call, so teardown later passes an unregistered device to transport_remove_device(). Reaching the failure requires permission to remove the affected kernel module; the resulting fault interrupts the host without reported data exposure or modification.
