Local privilege escalation via miscompiled stack pointer

Stack corruption in the s390 Linux kernel 5.18 through 6.0.9 allows local users to gain kernel privileges through ordinary system calls. Declaring current_stack_pointer as a global r15 register makes GCC before 8.4 omit required stack-pointer save and restore instructions, corrupting kernel stack frames. Only s390 kernels built with the affected compiler are exposed; an unprivileged local account can overwrite kernel memory or crash the host.
