System crash via non-leaf PMD misclassification

Denial of service in Linux kernel 5.19 through 6.0.9 allows local users to crash arm64 systems during huge-page collapse. The pmd_user_accessible_page() helper treats a present non-leaf PMD as user-accessible and decrements file_map_count, causing page_table_check_clear() to hit BUG_ON(). Reachability requires local activity that induces transparent huge-page collapse on an arm64 kernel with page-table checking; the bounded consequence is a kernel oops and service interruption.
