Local denial of service via blocking 9p pipes

Denial of service in Linux kernel 9p transport code allows local users to hang kernel workqueue tasks through pipe-backed file descriptors. The p9_fd_open path leaves supplied pipe descriptors blocking, so p9_mux_poll_stop cannot interrupt kernel_read or kernel_write during connection teardown. Exploitation requires local access to create a pipe-backed 9p transport and close it while I/O is pending, causing affected workqueue tasks to remain hung.
