Out-of-bounds access in the Linux dm-raid RAID5 disk-add path allows local users to interrupt service during an LVM reshape. The raid5_add_disk function indexes conf->disks with rdev->saved_raid_disk after checking its lower bounds but not whether it exceeds the last valid member. The path requires local low-privileged access, and published assessments report availability impact without confidentiality or integrity impact.
