Service disruption via non-BE broadcast queue mapping
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Queue-handling flaw in the Linux kernel allows local users to disrupt service through traffic on a mesh or OCB wireless interface. In __ieee80211_select_queue(), mesh and OCB frames are marked as QoS traffic even when no station exists, allowing a broadcast packet to receive a non-BE queue mapping that no longer matches the iTXQ access category. The condition requires iTXQ with a mesh or OCB interface; it can confuse driver queue handling and produce an AQL underflow warning.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
