CVE-2022-4960Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored XSS via unescaped nickname rendering

Published Jan 12, 2024 · Updated May 14, 2025

Stored cross-site scripting in CloudFavorites favorites-web 1.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a nickname. The registration flow stores a script-bearing nickname, and the comment view renders it as active HTML rather than neutralizing it. Exploitation requires an account, a submitted comment, and a victim who views the rendered nickname; the published CNA assessment limits the rated effect to content integrity.
