Kernel-memory disclosure via partially overwritten buffers

Information disclosure in Linux KVM 5.7 through 5.18.1 allows local users to read kernel slab data through AMD SEV ioctls. The SEV ioctl handlers allocate caller-sized buffers with kmalloc, but PSP firmware can return less data than requested, leaving an uninitialized tail that is copied back to userspace. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access to KVM on a host with AMD SEV support; the result is read-only exposure of residual kernel memory.
