Service interruption via unrequested IRQ cleanup
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
Incorrect IRQ cleanup in the Linux kernel MSM DRM driver allows local users to interrupt service during driver initialization. The msm_drm_uninit error path calls free_irq even when an earlier failure prevented request_irq from acquiring that interrupt. Reachability requires Qualcomm MSM graphics hardware and an earlier initialization failure; public sources do not establish attacker control over that failure.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
