CVE-2022-4945

Cloud credential disclosure via plaintext device file

Published May 22, 2023 · Updated Jan 16, 2025

Plaintext credential storage in Dataprobe iBoot-PDU Firmware before 1.42.06162022 allows local users to read iBoot Cloud credentials. The firmware stores cloud usernames and passwords unencrypted in a device file, but public records do not identify the file or write path. A local user with permission to read that file can reuse the exposed credentials to compromise other devices linked to the same cloud account.
