Host crash via unchecked domain allocation
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in the Linux Broadcom PMB driver allows local users to crash affected hosts during driver probing. In bcm_pmb_probe, each power-domain allocation is assigned to pd and dereferenced without checking whether devm_kzalloc returned NULL. Reachability requires Broadcom PMB hardware and allocation failure while the driver probes; the resulting consequence is limited to host availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
