Service interruption via leaked compaction sysfs files

A memory leak in the Linux kernel allows local users to exhaust kernel resources when registered NUMA nodes are repeatedly removed. drivers/base/node.c creates each node's compact sysfs file in compaction_register_node, but unregister_node omits compaction_unregister_node when that node is removed. Reachability requires local low-privileged access and node unregistration; repeated leaks can consume kernel memory and interrupt service.
