Host crash via unchecked F2FS block address

Denial of service in affected Linux kernel F2FS releases allows local users to panic the kernel via a malformed filesystem image. f2fs_do_zero_range() trusts inconsistent inode block mappings and passes an invalid block address to the segment information table update path without a sanity check. An attacker needs local access to make the kernel process a crafted F2FS image and invoke fallocate; triggering the flaw crashes the host rather than damaging data by itself.
