Client hang via retained NFSv4 layoutget locks

Improper locking in the Linux kernel NFSv4 client allows local users to hang the client through an NFSv4 open operation. The open compound retains layoutget locks while issuing a later RPC such as setattr, whose server recall waits on the held locks and deadlocks. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and an NFSv4 mount whose server sends a recall; the bounded consequence is availability loss.
