CVE-2022-49216

Service interruption via leaked device references

Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated May 11, 2026

Resource leak in Linux 3.19 through 5.17.1 allows local users to interrupt service by repeatedly invoking the Tegra DSI probe path. tegra_dsi_ganged_probe obtains a device reference with of_find_device_by_node() but does not call put_device() after the reference is no longer needed. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and a system using the Tegra ganged DSI path; no confidentiality or integrity impact is reported.
