Arbitrary memory read and write via use-after-free
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Use after free in Base Internals in Google Chrome before 101.0.4951.41 allows remote attackers to read and write memory via crafted HTML. Google has not publicly disclosed the affected function or the specific lifetime error that leaves a freed Base Internals object accessible. Exploitation requires a user to load attacker-controlled HTML, after which the browser process can suffer arbitrary memory reads and writes.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
