Extension storage spoofing after renderer compromise
Published Jul 28, 2023 · Updated Feb 13, 2025
Inappropriate implementation in Google Chrome Extensions before 105.0.5195.52 allows remote attackers to spoof extension storage. Public records do not identify the faulty function or explain how the Extensions component accepts a crafted HTML page as trusted extension-storage state. Exploitation requires prior compromise of the renderer process; the resulting integrity impact is limited to falsifying extension storage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
