Untrusted functionality inclusion in Synology Hyper Backup Explorer before 3.0.1-0156 allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The MinGW DLL component includes executable functionality from outside its intended control sphere; Synology has not disclosed the DLL, search path, or triggering operation. Low-privileged local access is required, and successful exploitation runs code in the application's context without user interaction.
