Kernel crash via FS-Cache cookie-state race

Race condition in Linux 5.17 through 6.0.12 allows local users to crash the kernel through concurrent FS-Cache cookie reuse. The cookie worker honors a stale LRU_DISCARD flag after fscache_use_cookie reactivates the cookie, withdraws its object, and causes cachefiles_prepare_write to dereference NULL. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and winning the race; the bounded result is a kernel oops and service interruption.
