Traffic interception via improper certificate validation
Published Feb 28, 2023 · Updated Mar 7, 2025
Improper certificate validation in Hitachi Infrastructure Analytics Advisor allows remote attackers to intercept probe traffic. The Linux Analytics probe and Ops Center Analyzer probe fail to validate peer certificates, but Hitachi has not disclosed the affected request path or validation logic. Exploitation requires control of network traffic between a probe and its peer, enabling data exposure and limited traffic modification or interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
