Kernel panic via unsynchronized VF teardown

Race condition in the ice driver in affected Linux kernels allows local users to trigger a kernel panic during virtual-function teardown. The reset and removal paths run concurrently without sharing cfg_lock, allowing a VF reset to overlap PF removal and corrupt memory. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access to initiate a VF reset immediately before removal on a host using the ice driver with SR-IOV VFs.
