Shutdown interruption via unregistered MDIO bus free

Denial of service in the Linux kernel allows local users to trigger a kernel panic during system shutdown on affected hardware configurations. The mv88e6xxx driver allocates the MDIO bus with devres, which invokes mdiobus_free during driver release without the required prior unregistration. The failure requires a DSA master on a bus whose shutdown callback removes devices, such as dpaa2-eth on fsl-mc; the resulting oops interrupts poweroff.
