CVE-2022-4873Public exploitNetwork attack vector

HTTP service crash via oversized sessionKey value

Published Jan 11, 2023 · Updated Nov 4, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in NetComm Wireless NF20, NF20MESH, and NL1902 R6B025 allows remote attackers to crash the HTTP service. The rtroutecfg.cgi handler copies an oversized sessionKey query value into a stack buffer without enforcing its length, overwriting the saved instruction pointer. Unauthenticated reachability requires the separate authentication bypass; the published chain executes code, while this flaw alone crashes a forked HTTP child process.
