Kernel crash via NULL bridge-state dereference

NULL pointer dereference in the mxsfb DRM driver in Linux allows local users to crash the kernel through atomic display state handling. In mxsfb_kms.c, the CRTC atomic-check path treats a NULL return from drm_atomic_get_new_bridge_state() as a valid state and dereferences its output-bus format. Reachability requires local access and an active mxsfb display pipeline; triggering the flaw interrupts the host through a kernel crash.
