Published Jun 10, 2024 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper access control in CoreServices in Apple macOS before 13 allows attackers to escape an app sandbox via a locally run app. Apple identifies only an access issue corrected with additional sandbox restrictions and has not disclosed the faulty access decision or affected resource. Exploitation requires execution of an app on the Mac and removes sandbox isolation, exposing resources outside the app's authorized container.
