CVE-2022-4863Network attack vector

Administrative lockout via self-archiving host account

Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 9, 2025

Denial of service in Memos before 0.9.1 allows remote authenticated users with host privileges to lock out the instance via the user API. The user-update handler accepts an archived row status for the active host account without preserving an accessible host, while authentication rejects archived accounts. Host-level access is required, and the demonstrated consequence is loss of administrative access rather than data disclosure.
