CVE-2022-4860

SQL injection via concatenated Mongo usernames

Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

SQL injection in KBase Software Metrics allows remote authenticated users to alter SQL queries through crafted usernames. The upload_user_data function joins usernames returned from MongoDB into a quoted IN list and executes the resulting UPDATE directly rather than binding values. Low-privileged access from an adjacent network is required, and the published material does not specify the exact data exposure or modification possible.
