Database query manipulation via unfiltered login username

Published Dec 30, 2022 · Updated Apr 9, 2025

SQL injection in login.php in SourceCodester Lead Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries via username. The login handler places the unfiltered username value directly into an SQL statement, enabling time-based blind queries and authentication bypass payloads. No authentication or user interaction is required; demonstrated outcomes are response delays and login bypass, while broader database effects depend on database privileges.
